Agronomy Manager
Location: Southern Saskatchewan
Our client (CanMar Farms) farms approximately 30,000 acres around Weyburn, Regina, and Indian Head. This is your opportunity to put your agronomic expertise to work for a very well run and well-financed farm with a top-quality land base. An experienced operations team is in place and the equipment is top notch. This may be your career opportunity knocking.
As the AGRONOMY MANAGER you will be the agronomic expert on staff. This is a full-time permanent job. You will create the annual cropping plan and monitor the crops in season. You will provide guidance on agronomy related things including: crop rotation, crop nutrition, crop protection (weeds, disease and insects), and crop staging. You will collect data, track results and report information.
To be considered you must have: Canadian prairie agronomic experience and knowledge of prairie grain farming best practices. We will consider mentoring a junior agronomist who can grow into the role, OR a career level agronomist who can hit the ground running, OR a senior level agronomist who may be nearing retirement and desires a flexible winter schedule.
