Our client is a very well-established agronomic research company with five locations spanning the three prairie provinces, and all the western Canadian soil zones. They do a wide range of small plot research trials for seed breeding companies and crop input companies. They require a crop RESEARCHER to conduct small plot efficacy trials and / or seed variety trials in Taber Alberta. This is a full-time permanent job.
Your duties will include preseason planning, field preparation, equipment preparation, plot seeding, in-season product applications, sample collection, data collection, record keeping, plot harvesting, reporting, and summer student training and supervision.
To be considered for the Research Associate / Technician position you must have small plot research experience and good agronomic knowledge. Our ideal candidate has an AG degree and has operated a tractor, plot seeder, sprayer and research plot combine.
