Our client farms approximately 28,000 acres in Southern Saskatchewan around Weyburn, Regina, and Indian Head. They require a FARM OPERATIONS & AGRONOMY MANAGER to direct farm operations, manage the team, and make agronomic decisions. This is your opportunity to run a well-equipped and well-financed farm with a top-quality land base and a terrific operational team. 

An experienced operations team is in place and the equipment is top notch. The current Farm Manager has been promoted, so he is available to support you as you move up the learning curve. This may be your career opportunity knocking. 

As the Farm Operations & Agronomy Manager, you will have three main priorities. First is staffing, retention and team management. You will recruit farm labour and lead the on-farm operations team. Second, you will direct farm operations. You will work closely with your team to run a safe and profitable farm. Third, you will be the agronomic expert on staff. You will create the annual cropping plan and monitor the crops in season.

Our ideal candidate has Canadian broad acre agronomic expertise and knowledge of prairie grain farming best practices. You must have the ability to make an operational farm plan and then execute the plan with a goal of maximizing yields, managing costs, and staying safe. To be considered you must have experience recruiting and retaining people. Experience hiring, delegating, and managing staff is required.
