Location: Home Based in Western Canada.   

Our client, KOCH Fertilizer, is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States.  They are a principle guided company that offers a wide range of crop nutrition products, (macros, micros, and stabilizers). They are devoted to the research and development of plant nutrient solutions for the Canadian market, and they require a Technical Agronomist to educate the stake holders and support the team in Western Canada.   

As the Technical Agronomist you will have two main roles. First is sharing your technical agronomic knowledge with the sales team, retail customers, and farmers. You will educate customers so they can sell your products with confidence, and you will train your sales peers.  You will be the Technical Agronomic expert customers and the sales staff call when they have questions.  You will be integral to new product launches, and you will sit on the North American Agronomy team that assesses the commercial viability of potential new products. Your second role will be acquiring and generating agronomic knowledge.  You will manage the western Canadian plot trials and stay current with agronomic science.  

To be considered you must be proficient at turning agronomic research data into easy-to-understand information. Our ideal candidate is either a crops researcher who is passionate about commercializing ag products; or an ag sales / marketing professional with plot research and technical agronomic expertise. A proven track record of great communication skills, (written, spoken, training, presentations, etc.) is required.  A Master’s degree in Agronomy is a definite asset.
